Pareo is the Tahitian word for wraparound skirt, but these textiles are so much more versatile than that! Thinner and smaller than our full sized Kantha quilts, these are the perfect size for using as an oversized beach towel, sarong, swaddle blanket for the keiki, nursing cover for the mamas, the list goes on and on! These one-of-a-kind pareos are crafted by women in India using two layers of thin vintage saris that are stitched together by hand using thousands of tiny stitches. Each piece tells a story - by owning one of these pareos, the story carries on through you.
